My name is Steve I live in Cocoa Beach I have been metal detecting for about two years like I have had the mine lab equinox 600 for about six months All I can say is I have spent a lot of time out on the beach and I have met a lot of other detectorist And I feel like a lot of them are just in the rush to get rich quick I believe Karma has rewarded me with all of my finds because I have returned a few items and picked up a lot of trash on the way If you’re a beach Hunter all I can say is people don’t wear their jewelry in the water anymore and most people just go for the water image.jpg

Not true. There is jewelry every where. Dry sand. Wet and water. Where you hunt the beach is wide, just refurbished. It will be harder for you to find jewelry but it's there and plenty of it. You have to find the places that have opened up and not sanded in. You might only find a place where 50 yards has opened up and the rest sanded in. If it's like that move on to a new beach.

Maybe what I’m trying to say is that I have had killerr luck on the towel line no scoop only pin pointer and if you believe you will find what your looking for I just have found so much stuff since I changed my way of hunting I see a lot of guys on the water line ignoring the towel line and I wonder why like I’m not a bragger I’m just proud because I really put a lot of thought into my tactics and it has paid off drastically

my brother lives in your area, finds surface finds all the time, some very good. No, he doesn't detect but paddle boards. The flow of tourists is ongoing and so is the ignorance of jewelry being lost in the water.

If you don't mind digging clad, the paths to the snack bar or toilets are good.

Sounds like you have learned a lot when you find what works doesn't matter what anyone else does wisdom and experience is good. I go to parks and hit hills and the sides of the park and find coin spills old silver while other detectorists are clad hunting lol Good job my friend. Tommy

I agree with everyone else, that there are plenty of valuable items to be found in the water along beaches. I also agree that the towel line is a great place to metal detect. When I metal detected beaches, that was the first place I would check before gridding the remainder of the beach. If I had owned an underwater/waterproof metal detector, I would have headed straight for the water after checking the towel line, then I would have gridded the rest of the beach.
