Diamonds??

So I'm sure this has been talked about b4 on this forum. If a treasure hunter finds a ring with a larger carrot diamond, where do you guys take them or cash them? I've been hearing stories of guys saying.."all it takes is one big diamond ring" So I've also been hearing diamonds are nothing of $$$ for resale. ??

Not that I found this diamond ring more like it was thrown back at me. Paid $2200. I will melt the gold and make a glass cutter out of the diamond before I let it go for very little.
