Use to hunt points in N. calif. And I'm no expert by any means.
But I'm fairly certain though, that one was made for a handle to be strapped on. Some what like an ax Perhaps to chop bone or cartlidge. Very very nice find!!! HH
 

There are a lot of points found here in Oklahoma especially around streams with adequate supplies of flintstone. I have found tht you definately do have to have an eye for them. A friend of mine can pick them out like picking berries while I have to stare and stare and still have trouble seeing them. Monty
 

Eyeballed in a field that is a camp site. Flint everwhere, I had more scrapers than I could carry.Not any whole points found so it was pretty heavy hunter. I believe it is a scraper as well.. They are hard to find, this one, as you can see by the dirt stains was only about 1/3 sticking out of the ground. I pretty much only surface hunt...The 1st few are tha hardest to find. You have to almost look past everything...
