did i find a iron meteorite?

I have found this piece of iron in the woods where the landscape has been shaped by glacial ice and has Löss deposits (fine yellow sand). It attracts a magnet super strong so Is it an iron meteorite?

Probably there's a good chance you have half of it correct. The iron part, not the meteorite part.
Best thing to do us clean it up, tap it with a hammer to see if the rust starts to fall off the piece.

does it help indentify the peice if i clean it? What makes you think it is not an iron meteorite, i am here to learn. i have hit it with a hammer and there are no flakes coming of and it is solid iron with a high ping tone.

yep it is wrought iron, striations visible from weathering.
