I have found silver coins in the same area that were different in condition. Why do you think that is? HH Burdie

Here's the best way to clean that silver dime.
1. Empty your favorite soda/beer can of its contents.
2. turn it upside down so that the bottom indentation will be the holding receptacle for the coin.
3. Fill that receptacle with White vinegar.
4. Place coin in the white vinegar.
5. Check every 15 minutes or so until the crud starts to come off. Wipe gently with a little baking soda and rinse thoroughly.

Don't leave it in vinegar too long or copper could start to leach out.
