Today I hunted a small old lumberjack town located somewhere in northern Michigan. I've known about this place for many years but have done little hunting there.
The property had traffic in the 1860's and is still being used today. A friend let me see a ca. 1909 real photo postcard he has of my exact hunting spot. In the picture I noticed a horse stable not far from where I hunted today. There once was a school not 500 feet from this spot. It opporated from about the late 1890 to 1960's when it was torn down and the top soil was removed to be used to get grass to grow in some ditch
This town was once known for it's hard and wild lifestyle. Needless to say I have great hopes for this site!
Here's a bunch of stuff I dug today. I set my detector to accept iron and I dug all solid targets. Man, did I dig! My back is killing me! Oh well, it was fun.
Can anyone tell me what that long handled tool is in the picture?
Thanks,
Badger
