dirt diggin'

Don't usually go dirt diggin', but got bored on Sunday & with no lakes nearby, decided to hit a small park. It had obviously been hunted hard (no silver), but found a few keepers. Indians:1901-1907, wheats:1913-1945S, Buffalo-1913. A very few new clads, but thats o.k., I'll take the old ones................HH..Loyd

You found all those old coins ,there is definetly silver in that park to be found.

Re: dirt diggin'

Well, after swinging a detector since 1968, I've learned to read the ground a little. Note that the coins found were from 7-9 inches deep. Without the Explorer, I doubt I would have heard them. When I find an old park that has been pounded hard, just slow down and listen for the coins that are near iron, etc. The silver scalpers sometimes miss the iffy targets. Anyway, it is much more fun in the water & I don't get much kick out of coins anymore. HH..............L

It's not hunted out if your finding those nice coins! Hit it hard after a good rain.
