I would want to be sifting that site ( if the grounds not too hard) Looks an excellent site for beads too.
Great pics.

To me that is just fun looking at your dirt. That is the fullest dirt I have ever seen. We have shell mounds plowed up here and they are not as intersting as yours with all your bone. Thank you so much. I am sure everyone will enjoy seeing your pictures of dirt. I am like Josh I but I would hunt with a wheel barrow. You ever get super serious and sift you will need another garage for the artifacts.
Thanks Larson for the view.

I have always been amazed by the pics larson posts showing the ground he hunts. I think this should be an on going post. Every time you go out to hunt, post pics here of the ground. It's the most amazing thing I've ever seen. :icon_sunny:

Talk about a target rich environment! I think a blind man could find one in that field.

Hey Larson
Just stopped by for a quick virtuall hunt. Got some nice pottery shards and some bone....Thanks !!!!! :coffee2:

Hello, the second from last pic sure looks like what we call a "bugler tooth",or Ivory.Elk have them on there upper jaw, just back from there nose.

thanks kuger, yes they were used on dresses for ornaments
I have a picture of a woman wearing a dress with at least 400 or more of them
I have some more and they all have holes drilled in them
do you want me to gather them and take a picture??

The area that you photographed, is it the side of a creek bed ? Looks like there had been a recent rain that washed over the area. Love the pottery shard!

Thank you for sharing.

thanks blacksheep, it is a field but it did get a few good rains on it

Sure if you get time.I have seen those wedding dresses too, pretty impressive.

Besides the pottery and bone, I sure hope you picked up the artifacts in the pics. I know I saw three uniface scrapers, and one has a graver spur on it.

Thanks larson, it is fun to look, but I keep wanting to reach up and pick them up from the screen. I swear my hand is twitching!
