Do dowsing rods really work for long range locators or are these just myth? I've heard a little bit of both.. anyone ever tried them?

The ones who do not have the GIFT , are the ones who make childish remarks, and it shows up on
some forums.
I have found that dowsing will skip a generation
Ie; myself, not my son, but my grandson can.
I saw a man dowse with his bare arms and his blood would run down through his hands and drip out on the ground, over crude oil. It,s on film. He made a fortune.
thanks for reading, even you skeptics.

To reiterate: Dowsing is a case of confusing causation (something causes another) with correlation (something relates to another).

Dowsing can work no matter how hard people try to explain it away. It’s not easy to learn. Nothing to do with guessing as one poster suggested. That’s your conscious mind controlling things—no, no, no.

Every scientific study I've read puts dowsing at a level equal to, or worse, than just blindly guessing. Anytime someone who claims to be a gifted dowser is offered a cash reward to put it to the test, they never can. When you ask them "Well if you can locate gold and treasure with your gift, why aren't you rich?" they always say some nonsense like "I've got no desire for wealth!" Yeah ok, I'm not buying it. I'll put out an invitation to any dowsers in that want to come prove their abilities, I will sign over the deed to my property if you can find a gold coin I buried on it by dowsing. I wont get any takers though.

LRL's are obviously a scam. Ive played with witch sticks in the past with no luck. I know an old man that uses witch sticks to locate underground water sources for wells. Ive watched him do it several times with success, he so good at it the locals call him unstead of a geologist when they are going to drill a well. It doesn't work for me, but i guess it comes down to the witch and their abilities?

Someone doesn't use a hammer worth a toot. Another struggles greatly trying to use a handsaw.
One person doesn't see deer on a property someone else encounters them frequently on.
One person gets bit my fleas and mosquito's while another seldom does.

We have a weak current. Forgot the folks or individual taking "pictures" of "auras".
Showing an outline of weak energy.
Hocus pocus , right?
My interests were in amputees and why one missing a limb still showed the outline while another didn't.
My "phantom" pain feels real enough. Asif my missing limb remained.
It is my brain sending (or better put not recieving) a signal asking what's going on. What is your condition , and when no reply /confirmation exists the last know communication signal is "played" felt expected to be condition.

A mild current affected by water table? Or other power source or highly conductive material? Or blocking material?

"Uncle " dowsed. More than water. He also used a metal detector.
it never occurred to me he wasn't doing as intended. The results didn't dispute such.
My detecting and very limited dowsing attempts with limited but interesting results are faint in comparison.
So?
I don't duplicate his activities even duplicating activities.
No real big surprise there.
We were not the same.

Body size. percentage of water. Amount of energy and subconscious notice.

I don’t know about dousing with sticks or anything like that, but I do know for a fact you can find a water/sewer pipe with two cut L shaped metal coat hangers. I used to work for a sewer pumping company and that’s how we found pipes all the time. I figured it worked the same as a compass needle. Just cut two and bend a L in them and hold them loosely straight out in front and they will swing together when you cross a pipe. It’s pretty neat, anyone can do it. I know it works on pvc pipe, not sure if it has to have water in it though.

Same way I did it, and it works on conduit with no water in it, I have done it on pvc pipe that never had water in it.

With an L shaped wire, one in each hand pointed straight ahead like a pistol they will spin towards each other till they point directly at each other as you are directly over the pipe, as you pass the pipe and it is behind you the wires pivot till they point behind you.

You propose a case of trying to prove a negative (another fault in critical thinking). It's not a matter of explaining it away as there is NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE to disprove.

You can't prove something that doesn't exist.

It's the same with people who claim to be psychic: yet children are still missing, crimes unsolved and lotteries not one.

Hmm, with many psychics and dowsers around are troubles are over.

Nothing more than a Cold-Reading scam.

Maybe I should be selling some "magic" sticks.

I have been locating underground pipes and conduit using 2 bent wires for over 30 years with 100% success. I didn't just locate them, I pothole (dug) them and exposed the pipes.

Here is video that shows the same process I use, for any who say we are turning the wires in our hands you can put the wire in the barrol of an Bic ink pen after the guts are removed.

Typical of a failed dowser to blame the dowsing. There’s a lot more to it than meets the eye—control of self is harder than it sounds. Add to that you have to keep your conscious mind out of the way. That’s the hard part.

Let's get to the core of what dowsers do: separate money from the fools who have it.

Charlatans have been doing this for thousands of years and, apparently, it's still going on.

Suckers!

The people who are dowsing successfully for their items of interest aren't allowing disbelievers to deter them.
They are also not on here debating about it.
You may elect to pose your dowsing question in the dowsing forum here.
The major factor is not getting the proper start up instructions. We all know there are tons of devices out there, including metal detectors, claiming to bring success. Similarly, a person can obtain a set of dowsing rods/pendulum that are not suited to what they are wanting to do with them. I'd like to suggest if you are wanting to start dowsing, try to find a dowser in your area and see if they offer 1 on 1 instruction to get you started. There are also lots of books/videos on the subject if you want to try self-teaching yourself.

There is a curious lack of banner finds in the dowsing forum.😂 If dowsing worked at all, shouldn’t there be at least ONE banner find there?🤔 That says it all for me.

Problem is lines do not always run straight, I have located lines in the middle of large fields when I did not know where they enter or left the field. We are not talking 10, or 15 feet, we are talking acres. Telephone cables and TV cables are notorious for not running straight too...

I lost $20 bet first time I saw it done when I bet utility employee he couldn't tell me where my fiber cable was in the middle of a 5 acre field by using 2 bent wires, he nailed it, I paid the money and learned I could also do the same thing after experimenting.. It wasn't just close I locate the exact positions under ground

Utility employee: "No siree, I got not idea where the cables are even though I am a utility employee, wanna bet $20 I can dowse it?"

2 hours previous back at the office: "Hey Bill, you got the municipal utilities chart for that property I gotta do an install for in 2 hours?"

Easiest way to prove if they are real or not is tell them their attendance fee will only be paid out of the funds recovered.

I,ll take that bet no problem locating your gold coin on your property.it will be like taking candy from a baby .oh by the way if you want to talk to anyone who seen what I can do than talk to Gulf coast pirate and oh yea I had no problem locating a gold earring 5 ft down at one of our beach site . So let the show begin.

You supposedly found a gold earring by digging a 6 foot hole at the beach. I wonder how many pieces of gold were much closer to the surface that you didnt find. You know, the ones all the beach detectorists find everyday? Why didnt your dowsing rods locate them?
