Hi crosse, Magellen was killed on Mactan, not Cebu. The statue to magellen was dwarfed by the one to Lapu. the first Philippino to resist armed European agression.

The Japanese had built an airstrip there, which was why we were there, we took it over. this was in 1944.

She uses too much logic to compliment my methods.:icon_scratch:
While physically not up to much field work , she does dig into online history across the state and were she not into other subjects would be a good candidate for doing research.
My hunts are usually slidin out the door quietly and coming back when done. Selfish sanity of a solitary pursuit perhaps.
Sometimes a wandering technique just to cure an wandering geographical itch more than scratchin dirt..
But she could holler and ask go too in advance. Not a problem ,less it's every time.:D

Research is worth a lot...

Yeah, my daughter is asking about the place I told
her of, when she was very young. Then she really
surprised me, learning the words on her own,
and singing along with me on the song...

Ooops, Now my secret is out, I guess I'll have to
take a chance, and let her laugh, I mean go along,
maybe sometime, If she's quiet, and can keep up,
an' brings her own pinpointer. Then ride out for
ice cream lipstik afterwards... :toothy4: :sunny: :fish:

Very interesting, about Magellan. The earliest explorers,
are so fascinating to me, sailing with confidence, into
the great, and wild unknown...

You guys had a tough little fight with them, didn't you?...

I watched a documentary(s) on the islands, the US had
to take over, to be able to fly the bombers all the way
over to Japan, and then back to the island safely.

Quite the fighters, and them kamikazes... :sunny: :fish:

Hi Alamosmoon,

Is it shinin' nice an' bright there tonight...

Such kind words, and a nice stern warning. You know,
it seems like I have, trimmed me sails, turned the bow,
an' heard the wind whisper, about them pirate kind of gals,
at some tropical port maybe it was, now that ye mentioned it.

Yes, and I think there was something about walking some sorta'
plank too, but just can't quite recall, what exactly it supposedly
was used for... 8-)

I'm gonna go lay down, directly,

DO TREASURES HAVE REAL SPIRITS?

An' eery pause is heard throughout the sea, as a lone pirate girl works steadily through the night. All that can be heard is tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.

:coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2:

One of my friends from Mexico told me a new story,
new to me anyway. One of his family members, has
a home that he said has a very tall ceiling. I figure
by his drawing description, maybe 14'-17' or so.

There's a hall with columns from the floor to the
ceiling, and one of them has some sort of built in
decorations, that blends in, and is inconspicuous.

His Aunt told him that the structure,
including around the particular column,
had to have some major repairs.

The bottom part of the column decoration,
was disassembled, and there, they discovered
a tunnel. They didn't even want to look down in
there at all. So they filled it back in, and replaced
the decoration work, just as it had been, for who
knows, however long it was previously like that...

DO TREASURES HAVE REAL SPIRITS?

:coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2:

In serious consideration, of many things that one
may observe in a lifetime, naturally, there are
always, about as many views, or more, as
there may be supposed lost treasure
legends, and real verifiable stories...

Though there seems to be no real set pattern,
to the ways that things can happen, some odd
things, may be at least partially explained by
cause and effect, and the luck of the draw...

Since there are no real guarantees, and no
matter what one may think or concieve, many
folks through the ages, tend to just develop
their own beliefs. Based a lot on their own,
or the passed down experiences, of those
that have lived, and gone aforetime.

Some may believe, that there is nothing
supernatural, no unseen spirits to influence,
or guide the seen living. That there are no
spiritual laws, and that there will not be
any future results for present actions...

Because the immediate results, cannot
always be seen, maybe within a lifetime.
There does not seem to necessarily always
be any effect. Perhaps that is also a spirited
thought, even a treasured illusion. Mostly the
realization of rational logic, and the supposed
believable, real and tangible, scientific proof...

So, do treasures have real spirits?

I leave you with that thought, as we all do
get to decide, what we think, what we believe...

What is real treasures, and what is, just a spirited illusion... :sunny: :fish:
:cross:

Thanks to all of you, who have joined me, in this spirited,
maybe treasured, often historical, and sometimes musical journey.

Your many interesting, and generous contributions have been enjoyed.
I hope that you also, may have gained something useful, in return as well... :occasion14:
