Just curious if you guys ever find titanium, tungsten carbide or platinum rings? The reason I ask I have a titanium spacer in my back and my metal detector and garret pro pointer wont hit on it. (I was extremely bored so I checked it out) :)

Yes! On saltwater beaches with a pulse induction machine. Better go get an MRI and see if that thing is still there! :laughing7:

I have found both Ti and TC rings on the beach, so yes they can be found. I have never seen a vertebral spacer. I do know that incomplete or cut ring shapes are much harder to get a signal from.

My ACE 250 found and tungsten carbide ring...rang loud and clear!

You'd think after hunting almost 25 years I'd would have come up with a titanium or tungsten ring? So far I have not. But I have found two platinum rings, both were men's wedding bands. One was in a sand box under the kiddie swings, the other was dug on a baseball field 20 feet from second base. ;D

yes, got my first Titanium mens band just the other day, as with Terry - PI in Saltwater.

I haven't found a Ti, TC or Platinum piece, but, I have checked my wife with my Propointer! (no, not that way!) Her atrificial knee and neck plate sound off well, however, the plate in her lower back does not. I haven't checked her with my F75.....yet......may have to wait till she is asleep and be sure to use my headphones!! ::)

After 21 yrs tectin', on Jan 14, 2011 I found my 1st tungsten man's ring on Siesta Key (FL) beach. It sounded somewhat like a brass key.....not too loud, but enough to dig.

Found one on Daytona Beach with my excal. Not a great signal but plainly there. Scooped it up from about a half inch under the sand.

The only one I found was in a lazy river at Disney. I knew I would find something wish it was the brides ring and not the grooms.

I found a mens titanium wedding band at a fairgrounds where camping was allowed.

LOL make sure she doesnt wake or youll be in the dog house for sure.

I found my first tungsten carbide ring today. So I guess the old Tessoro can pick them up. Now if I can just find a platinum ring :laughing7:

Yes I have found all these plus a few more. When I sold detectors and I had a customer come in the store I would slip a quarter in my mouth and when talking to them wave the coil over my head to show them it worked. But I told them I had a metal plate in my head and it made me pee when it flexed. ::)

Sandman, That's a knee slapper!

I found a Platinum men's ring in dry sand in Myrtle Beach a couple weeks ago.

vdi was 57 on a AT Pro.

Dick's offered 300 for it. I kept it for bragging rights.

I have a titanium plate in my neck (4 vertebrae fused together). My propointer hits it!
This x-ray was taken just prior to my third surgery:
