Dude, nobody is going to reply to your detector brand questions in this section. Try "General discussion" or something, and I'm sure somebody will help you out. :icon_silent:

Pretty sure you mean XP Deus. No I don't but I can tell you it's the best all round detector on the market (FULLSTOP). When I've cleared my sites with the XP Goldmaxx Power (next model down) I would buy this machine over anything else anyone could offer.

thanks cru

Your answer might be correct was he living in England, but seeing were he is from I'm not to sure :dontknow: plus I don't see anything extra the Deus has over the Goldmaxx Power, apart from being lighter, I believe there are deeper machines on the market that might do a better job, but would cost more :icon_thumleft:

Spoken with a few Deus users who had XP's & an Etrac user swapping to the Deus. It does have excellent depth (much more than the XP previous models), along with all the other great things you already know. As you know most of the deeper machines have the disadvantage of weight. I would prefer to lose a bit of depth & gain speed of recovery/performance in trashy areas & therefore increased area covered. If you like going slow with more weight then go elsewhere. Depends on your style of hunting. Not that you can't go slow as well, but you can almost run with this machine & hit targets.

That's not the case with the Deus going fast, you still have to sweep the coil slow in trashy area's, it opperates on the same frenquency as ours does...so I can't see it being any deeper.

It has options of the 2 Feqs (GMP & Gmaxx) plus several extra frequencies- 4kHz, 7.8kHz, 11.7kHz and 17.7kHz.

Of course in trashy area's slow helps, but like I said, it depends on your style of detecting, which should vary depending on too many things to discuss. But for the most part it is deeper, ask those that have one & its performance/flexibility is beyond that of most detectors. Lets not get stuck on depth unless its your no.1 deciding factor.
