Door handle/knob?? Gold???

Anyone have any ideas on this old door knob or handle I have??

Looks like Glass or porcelain with gold leaf blended for a Fancy cane topper to me.... Value depends on age and how collectible n that is beyond what I know.

Can you post a pic of the bottom? It may be an old gear shift knob.
