All seriousness, I dug thus up about 5 " down at a old 1870's homestead / farmhouse ( Wake County,NC) i have found quite a few nice buttons, smokehouse lock, door knobs and such out there but this thing has got me stumped...
Its cast iron I believe so thinking maybe a finial off a carriage or something
