I've been eyeing some new fields lately and after the first two were not home, third time was the charm!! This field had two different homesites in it and each one was on both the 1867&1882 plat maps. The button with the boat has me really interested for some reason. Looked thru my button book but no luck 🤞. I'm not 100% sure but I believe I found a lead smoking pipe (call me crazy). The 1863 merchant token is pretty sweet too. Lots of buttons, some injuns, a 2 center and several things I'm scratching my head on. Man it feels good to be swinging again and I'm truly blessed to be able to!!!!! GL&HH y'all

No wonder you're tired today.
Nothing like digging it all in one day!
Congrats on the Seated, IHP, Token, Watch winder, hanging weight.
I def pushed it , didn't know if I would have another chance to hunt it so I said heck with it. Grit my teeth and carried on lol

I know this won't help but, I have seen that button before. It may have been on this site. Anyway, congrats on some very interesting finds.
I would be stoked to find out. Thgt it was just part of a 2 piece button but I don't believe it is now.

What do you think the weight was for? Clock, scales, fishing?

great batch of finds. I believe the item in the first pic left of the watch winder and above the stone tool is the lid to a power measure/flask.

Thx yes it is and it's the smallest one I've ever found

Never thgt of that. All I know is that all the hunting me and my buddies have done we've never found anything like it.
Nice one for sure getting the loop still intact.
These might be referred to as Bell shaped.
I have only found one similar to yours, though it was dug on the other side of the pond.
