I've been eyeing some new fields lately and after the first two were not home, third time was the charm!! This field had two different homesites in it and each one was on both the 1867&1882 plat maps. The button with the boat has me really interested for some reason. Looked thru my button book but no luck 🤞. I'm not 100% sure but I believe I found a lead smoking pipe (call me crazy). The 1863 merchant token is pretty sweet too. Lots of buttons, some injuns, a 2 center and several things I'm scratching my head on. Man it feels good to be swinging again and I'm truly blessed to be able to!!!!! GL&HH y'all

Nice one for sure getting the loop still intact.
These might be referred to as Bell shaped.
I have only found one similar to yours, though it was dug on the other side of the pond.

That's nice ,interesting for sure. What kinda time frame you think this were?

The “pipe bowl” appears to be “street elbow”. It is a specific type of pipe fitting for various piping jobs. They can be: lead, copper, iron, etc.
Well that was my first thgt but it has no threads for attaching it and both ends are rounded over. I'm going to try to pull it apart and put it on the What is it forum. Thx for the thgts

There are street elbows that don’t have threads, also. They are fittings for welded pipe.

Fantastic hunt fishstick!! I just saw this....glad your healed up and back swinging!!
Thx brother, not back to normal yet but I'm getting there. It just feels awesome to be out and able again!!! :headbang:

If in fact it's a loom weight it could be from any era over the past 2000 yrs. Really hard to nail down actually unless a certain shape was from a certain era.
But given the look I would say it's not the 20th C and possible early 19th C.

The round item 2nd up on the left-part of a buckle?

Interesting 🤔 I'm thinking it is, was a taco when I found it but could see something on it. The center cutout has me believing it.

Yeah but this thing isn't one I don't believe. Both rims are ground smooth and look how small the hole gets. Wouldn't think an elbow would reduce that much.

Another weird lead sheet. Thgt it might have been the back of a buckle or something.

This might interest you on the lead pipe.
@Muddyhandz might be around to put some insight on your recovery.

That's the way to do it! Congratulations! You found some really good recoveries!
Thank ya, it was a good time for sure!!!

I was emptying my bag out from the other days hunt and this caught my eye. I believe it goes with the possible loom weight. What's y'all's thgts?
