I have hit the 10 mark-
10 skunks in a row on halves.

6 skunk on brinks
4 skunk on string

Sigh, when will it end? Might quit and strictly go with dimes, Ive been averaging quite a few per box.

I feel your pain. I am at double digits for halves too, 10 box skunk streak for me.

On a positive note- I did find an amazing dump bank today. Dumped 1000 in halves. Counted perfectly. Took maybe 2 minutes..... And never filled a bag or needed any kind of teller assistance.

sorry to hear about the skunk streak. Do you ever search customer halves? I got one half from a bank today and it was a '64. Just one coin but 100% success with hardly any searching and absolutely no dumping and no hassles. If it weren't for customer halves I wouldn't find hardly any silver halves at all.

Yes- when I am in a bank, I ask for cust rolled- However its easy enough for me to order boxes and at least HOPE I find something.... Customer rolls have been pretty scarce around here too- lots of other CRHers out there i think

I have a lot of competition at some banks too but I keep checking anyway because my success rate with customer halves is just so much better than it is with boxes - there is just no comparison. The only bad thing with customer halves is the limited amount of volume you can do but if the boxes are all (or nearly all) skunks then volume with them is really just a waste of time - at least untill you can start getting some decent boxes. But who knows if and when that will ever happen. But maybe that great box of keepers is just one box away so I guess that's why we keep trying.
