Metal Detecting
I've been dabbling with dowsing lately and I find it very interesting. I watched a video on youtube and just for kicks grabbed a necklace/pendant I had dug recently and started asking yes/no questions. Immediately I was getting responses...very very interesting. I'm just using a pendulum, asking 20 questions about the areas I plan on detecting. The image is of some soccer fields I plan to grid off. If anyone is interested in map dowsing the image, I'll report all silver and gold finds as I hunt the area. Keep in mind it may take 2-3 months to complete the whole area. Another reason why I'd like to concentrate on the dowsing hot spots first. Anyway, I'm mainly searching for gold and silver less than 8 inches deep. Thanks for looking.

Check the red circle areas for metal detecting.

Thank you so much. I'll let you know what I find and the locations as I work the area. What's the significance of the different size circles? Does it have to do with depth or size of the object? Thanks again for your time. 8-)

Red_desert I have some good news and some bad news. The good news: My dowsing directed me to the SW quadrant of field #2, so that's where I started the grid. Less than an hour later I dug this:

The yellow circle denotes where I dug the 14k 9.2g ring (down 3") The white square is what I hunted

The bad news: The parks manager came out to talk to me. He says it's alright to metal detect, but you can't dig. :BangHead: I wanted to argue the point that I I'm not doing any more damage to the grass then the aerator they use to punch holes all over the field or the big tears in the grass that the mowers make when they turn. Plus I was picking up trash, filling my holes. 90% of the holes I dug were 2"-3" Anyway, I thank you for your time. I was really excited to see how many dowsing objects I'd find. I guess I'm going to go back to hunting dry sand at the lake swimming areas.

all the park managers should be sent to the Mexican border to dig post holes with a spoon, while there they should be under direct orders of metal detectorists.
:coffee2::coffee2::coffee2: 3 cups for you Metal Militia.

I know there was a few more nice jewelry hits in there, only identified one of the best, it is the circle near the top, has a smaller red circle inside. Thought you'd get to check all the spots, so didn't bother to identify the other jewelry items.

Oh, I spent a lot a time once, map dowsing a nice park with ball fields near me. Got the park info to look through, then the rules. Fine of $20 for not following the rules.
!. Keep dog on leash at all times. If dog causes damage to vegetation, repair the damage.
2. People must get approval at the park office before causing damage to any vegetation.

I just assumed the rules were meant for people who are metal detecting.
