Dream site still producing FLYING EAGLE AND 3 CENT NICKLE!

relic lover · Sep 16, 2011

I made a few trips back to the Victorian campgrounds and picked up a few more Indian's nothing spectacular but today I scored some sweetness. I dug a nickel 3 cent (dateless ) and an 1857 flying eagle. I love this site!

You gotta like sites that never stop giving some goodies. Never give up, you never know what will come to light next. :coffee2:

Thanks you have to dig a lot of shotgun brass to get any nickel coins in the woods. The 3 center was a real surprise i was sure it was gonna be junk.

I've never even heard of a nickel 3 cent before! :icon_scratch:

They must be pretty uncommon! :notworthy:

Nice Finds, that Flying Eagle is in great shape, in addition, those 3 cent nickels don't surface very often at all! Good Digs!

Great finds :icon_thumright:

The pic does not do justice for just how tiny those little nickle three cent coins are.

Thanks. the coins are not that rare but digging one is because most hunters don't dig because they sound like trash and read way out of the coin zone on the TID.
