Drill? Awl?

Found these two pieces today in the creek at the edge of our property. Not sure about the first piece, might be just a rock, any comments or thoughts are welcome. The second piece is missing the base, but better than nothing at all. Thanks for looking.

I agree with Treasure Hunter on the first pic. Its a nice looking rock. And has some artifact characteristics. But seeing you found it in a creek makes it ?? That point is very nice, and I would be love to find something in that material. Nice post!!!

Viking!! if i had found what you call a drill it would go in by need to check box. i would want to get a strong magnifying glass to look at the [3] edges with in [1/2 to 1/4] inch of the tip. to see if there was any crushing or pollasing to the edges if so it is a artifact! Terry

Looks like a piece of bipolar reduction debitage to me. Knocked off a larger piece of quartzite. Nice point, I like that high grade quartz.
