Dug a HUBLEY 'Midget' Flintlock Cap Gun today

I had the whole day to myself and decided that I'd drive around and do a few mini, 30 minute hunts in as many parks as I could between estate sales and yard sales. My second park was one that I hit a couple weeks ago and found a 59' Roosie in. About 15 minutes in I got a solid 3-30 signal on the Minelab and I thought "hell ya, I'll dig that". Well, I pulled out this old HUBLEY cap gun that looked so nice fresh out of the whole that for one split second I wondered if it was a sterling silver decorative piece. This gun is called the "Midget" Flintlock and measures 5.5". The trigger guard is gone but oh well. As nice as it would look with the hammer pulled back I don't want to force it because I might break it and there's no need for that. It was a nice adrenaline rush, that's for sure. I found it at 8 a.m. so not a bad way to start off the day. :coffee2:

Thanks for looking

COOL---REAL COOL!

I;ve found parts of real black powder guns before---even a octagon barrel piece---but no toy pistol like yours---I've found the cowboy pistol types--but no cap pistol like yours---a real cool find!:hello2:

I've never found any real guns or parts but I hope to some day. I think I have a pretty good chance of pulling one out of the river I'm going to hunt soon.
