Dug a nice boot pistol today (New photos of cleaned pistol added 11/29/11)

[creskol]

My son Jeremy, our friend Doug, and I were hunting an old house site today and dug a nice little boot pistol. Not sure what it is yet as we haven't cleaned it.

Nice Pistol creskol, It's a "REMINGTON - SMOOT Revolver, circa. 1875-1877" Here's what it looked like in it's hay day.
Take Care,
Pete,
