Great find! Don't clean it with anything other than water. If you do and send it it for grading, it could come back as improperly cleaned. Most collectors would rather have it as is. Freshly dug.

Great looking find there, still looking for any 2 center out here, think it is too big a denomination coin, they were poor back in the old days out here !

Very nice! Big congrats

I wouldn't clean that, maybe just soak in water.
You don't see too many key date 2-centers, so I'd be gentle.
kudos!

Thanks guys ,Yes im done with it not going to take a chance on messing it up, this was a once in a life time find !

Wow! Can't remember ever seeing an 1872 2 center on here. Definitely a rare one. I'd like to see it on the banner as well.

That's a great find that you just don't often see. Lots of 60s found but the 70s are far less prevalent. Very good decision to leave it alone. That thing is in great condition and needs professional care.

Nice coin at least a $350 coin great find.

Nice find! I happened to find two one year in different locations about 25 years ago and none since. They are harder to come by.

That should be on the "Banner" because of rarity! Breen's Encyclopedia say's many of these were melted by the Mint after they quit making them in 1873.(making them even rarer)

Nice find congratulations!

that's an awesome coin!, I love the deep green patina that they have when they come out!

wow awesome find, and worth some bucks

I'm voting BANNER on this coin. Certainly great shape, and a several hundred dollar coin find for sure. Don't clean it, just leave it as-is. BIG congratulations!
