Nah it's a colonial copper.

Funny with dates like that, the harder you look the more the numbers change.
Bust face left , not many do, most face right . 1738 ?

I'm' pretty sure it's either 1677 or 1775. I may have figured it out, but I need to get a better idea on the date. Once I get the date I'll have the ID.

Couple more pictures of the front would help. Wet the coin first sometimes that helps bring out more detail.

I can see it...It's 1775.

It rang up as a quarter at first then came up as a zinc penny once I got it out of the hole.
