Dug this up in an old dump today. I was very happy with it because I have been wanting to find one for a while.

The bowl is broken off, but I am still quite happy with it. According to this website it dates between 1820 and 1860.

The one I believe to be like mine is the one on the bottom of the third row. I determined this because of how squared the spike is on the bottom of the bowl.

Wanted to share this find because it a special find for me

Glad you found a bucket lister.

Cool pipe...WTG !!!

Congrats on the stem, you can also determine the age by the hole that runs through it. I'd bet that the bowel would be somewhere close as well.

Great find VT. Finding clay pipe bowls, stems, and clay marbles is just as exciting as finding old coins. ( it is for me anyway ). Congrats.

Well, that is a nice find. I think the area where you found it will more than likely give up more old relics and coins. That's one more pipe than I have recovered. Congrats

That's a long stem too! I love the other goodies that show up digging metal! I have found a couple of stray teeth...Hoping they were animals'!

That's a cool find!

Thanks everyone for all the comments! I am going to sift/screen through the dirt I have dug out already and am hoping to find more of the bowl.
