Ah, yes..... a dying sport! I found a serving cart at the curb one day. Varnish problems and one wheel broken. That's it. I allowed it to get rain-soaked and warped. I later saw it in an antique book, same exact cart, for 700 dollars! Rats! TTC
Chug saved a coffee table from ethan allen, from a dumpster. A fresh coat of paint, and it is beautiful. We also have 2 brass lamps someone threw away, shadow boxes, wrought iron stands and flowers, jewelry, including a ruby ring in white gold, and a peridot ring in silver, and 3 china dolls, will post pictures some time, we are still remodling! I had a friend, when I still lived in WI, that gave me a ten inch cast iron Griswold he pulled out of one of his regular dumpster stops. He only wanted the aluminum cans. Later, I found out that the pan he gave me was worth $200.

Yep it can pay off,,,my brother did some diving when his neighbor died...Long story short---he found 4--watches still in there band new cases---he did not know it but I did,,,,one was a rolex....WOW----talk about easy money....
