E-Mail monitoring

The EU, European Union is now starting to monitor all e-mails for a year. All European nations are complining except Sweden. Advocates say this is for terrorism purposes. People in the UK are distraught over the ruling, as are mobile phone manufacturers. Are we next for these archiving practices?

Just talked to a friend from the UK and he stated that it IS true BUT they only copy the sender and receiver's email address, what is in the emails is not copied.
