E-Trac Owners with a Desk Job

3PM for me is almost close enough to pack it in for the day. Today it was 310PM and I was hunting 15 minutes later at a park GOIO told me about. Got 2 SLQ and a wheatie in the same hole. Nice hole in three. I think I also got my first gold ring with the etrac. It says OBSTER 14k. Cleans up real nice too, unfortunately the stone is missing. I am going to take it to a jeweller and see if I can find out anything about it. TMAN...

Congrats TMAN!!! whoa, 2 SLQ's! AND Gold?? nice one!

But did my post go right over your head?

Hi Brett & TMan,

Do you mean by those numbers what it represents on your ID .
I don't have on yet but would imagine silver, maybe SLQ for 12-47 and a 13-47 may be a Franklin Half.

How am I doin' Brett ?
How far off was I ?

Still in Phoenix( visiting Grandkids) until next month, then back home, I tried to call Ron a few times -couldn't connect.
Once home I'll have more time to get in touch with him.

How are you liking yours so far ? How does it compare to your old SE ?
It it that much dif or better, by a little or on a order of magnitude better?

Ron

Yep, ID numbers. Basically they would represent a quarter. Since I got my first two silver quarters (washington and slq) recently the numbers are engraved in the back of my eyelids.

The E-Trac is much better than the SE Pro in my book... but that's just me, and my money. I actually paid full price for both. Now when you make the comparison, you are probably comparing a used SE Pro to a new or used E-Trac. That gets a little trickier because the SE Pro is a great machine, and you are getting a lot of value for your dollar. You just get some extra nice features for that wad of cash more for the E-Trac. I think you'd do just fine with the SE Pro, but if you can afford it get the E-Trac. If you can, try both for 10 minutes of detecting. Also try twiddling the menus for 5 minutes.

Huh,, thats weird..when my clock says 7:11, I always want a Slurpie.
