Detector(s) used
Minelab E-Trac, CZ-7A Pro
I was looking to buy a Explorer SE Pro but i have been looking at E-Trac also. My question is, is the E-Trac worth the extra money that you have to pay for it over the SE Pro? I mainly coin hunt and looking for deep silver in Iron and trash. Thanks

In my opinion Yes. It depends on how much fun you wanna have detecting. Many have enough fun with the simplier detectors with no adjustments, screens or depth.

Yes!

Best machine on the market. A bit of a learning curve but it will payoff big time. Very deep machine with the stock coil.

Having both machines myself, if you are an old coin hunter and after silver coins, the E-Trac is the machine you want. The Explorer SE Pro is no slouch. I think the machines are evenly matched, but I am definitely finding more with the E-Trac. If you are on a budget, I think a used Explorer (any model) with the Pro coil would be a great machine for less money. If money is not an issue, I'd go with the E-Trac.

Never used the etrac but I have an old Explorer XS with the pro coil and it's by far the best coin machine I've ever owned. Found my first silver coin with it. I've owned a lot of machines and the only other machine that can compare as far as depth is the CZ-3D from my experience.
