Good Morning T- Net Nation!
Last night, after an early dinner of yummy Ipswich fried clams, I ventured into the woods for a quick hunt. My first site proved frustrating due to excessive EMI, so I moved on to another location close to home. I was greeted by one of the locals, who didn't seem to object to me being there. I took that as a good sign.

I found a few old targets , including a rather large musket ball, some fragments, and part of a broken bell.

It was starting to get dark when I hit a nice , soft high tone. After hacking through a tangle of roots, out pops an old copper

I re-scanned the hole, and got another solid signal. Long story short, there ended up being six very old coppers within about a two foot circle

Most of them are in pretty rough shape , except for a 1693 William and Mary Irish Half Penny

I've never hit an old spill like this one. Very, very exciting! The pics below are from some of the other coppers. Thanks for taking a look!

WOW! Very cool! That W&M is STUNNING ! This is a Banner worthy find.

Very cool spill, I love the William and Mary Halfpenny!

Cant beat that great day for you

Amazing. That W&M has to be one of the nicest condition dug coins I've seen considering its age.

That is one nice spill, the W&M is outstanding condition for the number of years in the soil, the others coppers look good too. The W&M is definitely worthy of being on top & my vote is going in. Big congratulations on the save

The W & M copper is a great find. I've dug my share of King William coppers but never a William & Mary. Getting that coin in such a good state of preservation is a quite an accomplishment. It's not often that you see a copper with a clear date from the 1600s. Congrats! :hello2:

I'm happy for the occasional 1700's copper, I never dream of a 1600's coin. Huge congrats and I hope you pull a couple of old silvers out of that spot.

Awesome spill!
