my friend digger stopped by after his usual early morning hunt
this is what he found
we thought the first point was KRF but after washing it we see it is petrified wood
now this is not like the usual prairie side notch or jaw notched points made by the mandans but it came out of the same field
wonder if it is a mandan point that just turned out a different or
, any ideas?
next a side notch TRSS point very thick looks like the piece of material used was not going to lend itself to being worked into a nice piece but it still looks plenty functional
and last a real nice little marrow scoop very polished and delicate
