Went out this morning just as the light was coming through the trees. Ground still a bit soggy from recent heavy rains. Found a number of interesting items.

Remains of another copper spoon. Now have 3 of these from the same location. To the right is a decorated buckle very similar to ones from the 1770's to 1800. Couple of common plain face buttons. What looks to me like a brass top to a skaters lantern? Quite small and found next to a pond. To the right a round brass object, no doubt part of something else I'm sure. Larger brass ring, one of two I found. Other is somewhat bent up pretty bad. But I don't believe it's from a lantern. Brass thing to the right with the hole in the middle is anybody's guess. Brass button with "Engineer Coat" clearly on the front. Last fancy brass suspender buckle, not sure of the time frame for it. Maybe 1840-1860's? Thanks for looking, Bill

Sorry forgot to ad my ruler. new finds oct 2019.jpg

Nice old relics. Hope you can add some coins to your finds from there too.

Quite a few nice relics there! I've found an identical fancy suspender buckle and I think you are right about the time frame. I never heard of a skater's lantern but that makes sense being near a pond. :icon_thumright:

nice finds!! love that buckle!!
