Got out today with Keith (a.k.a. hollowpointred) to hunt a couple places. First we hit an old Little League field I remembered from my youth. Nothing but clad, memorial pennies and junk.

Next we hit the old musement park woods where I've been cleaning up on silver all week. It took awhile today to find any silver. But I did manage to find this really nice 1945 Mercury Dime:

I also found a few Wheaties, a couple Indian Heads and a couple nickels (one's a V Nickel, I think).

Not as much as I've been finding, but not too bad. Keith also found a few coins. He wanted to see how they cleaned up before deciding whether to post them. Anyway, he got to experience one of my favorite places. I think he had fun checking it out. But there's lots more to the area. Unfortunately, I picked up my first deer tick of the season and promptly burned the little sucker. So, I don't think I'll be back there til next winter.

)is severely corroded i don't think i will ever get a date of this one but i can narrow down the type to being minted between 1869 and 1897. it was a nice day with perfect hunting weather, and even though this site has been thoroughly hunted in the past we still managed a few keepers. that merc is a beauty Bob! thanks again for inviting me out with you!
and a great bunch of coins you guys found also ! excellent finds and congrats
