Eastern Oregon nugget hunting?

I am thinking about doing some nugget hunting outside of Burns Oregon in the old mining area called Idol City also some areas down around Plush Oregon in the coyotte hills area. Does anyone have any knowledge of this are and have they done any nugget hunting in this area. Trying to find some area cose to christmas valley within 100 miles or so. Please reply if you have any info on the area. Thanks Earl of christmas valley.

there was never hardly any gold in that area and i would be surprised if you foung anything at all. very surprised. you would be much better off driving a little more and getting up to northeastern oregon. there is still alot of gold there.
