I just got an email this morning that's supposedly from PayPal. I'm sure it's a scam because I haven't purchased any Samsung phones! I forwarded it to spoof@paypal.com.
If any of you get this email please don't click the links in it!! Be careful out there!

FWIW - anytime you get anything from PayPal, your credit card company, your bank, etc. NEVER EVER use the link in the e-mail message. Always (A L W A Y S) go to a new browser window and jump to the site in question your normal way. Now Charmin - if you looked at the PayPal return e-mail - it wasn't even a PayPal domain. Also, it is easy as pie to fake the return e-mail as well - it is just as easy to see the actual e-mail sending the message - but, that is for another thread...

Here's what the PayPal site says about "suspicious activity":

I've had Paypal for 12 years now and the only email I ever had to reply to was when opening my account. Can't imagine how many hundreds, or maybe even thousands of those things I've got. There basically invisible to me so I can't really even guess.

Havnt heard from you in a bit. Made any good finds lately?

Most of the time my spam filter will catch these kind of emails too.....My initial reaction was "panic!" when I saw this email....then I started noticing things wrong with the email and checked my PayPal account and everything was okay.
I just thought I'd share to get the word out and hopefully save someone from getting burned.

Good post for those who aren't familiar with this type of thing. I get spoof Paypal emails periodically. I never reply to anything from an email link, if it even gets looked at/opened to begin with, before deletion.

A lot of scam spoofs are from overseas, you can tell. Their English and spelling are awful.
