Ebay Listing Accountability Thread

Currently I'm waiting for payments from 4 people totaling $120. One has been since the 27th he keeps saying he's about to get the money to pay im getting about getting tired of hearing it. Other than that though I've gotten payment for the other 83 things I sold this month. Although a ring I got back I sold for $1000 the lady returned it so that was a disappointment. But after talking to a jeweler he said I shouldn't take any less than 1500 Ford anyways so I guess I'm happy it came back?!?!!

83 listings sold this month! :icon_shaking2: Wow, that is impressive. You sell Jewelry right? Is that what your sales have been this month? Nice job!

Sold one set of center caps. Best offer of $25.00 plus $15.00 shipping. So now I'm into the steamer, two new center caps and one more complete set left!!! I love money makers! Not huge numbers but a blast to me!

Yeah, I just enjoy the whole process of talking people down when buying to counteroffering when a buyer tries to talk you down. Nice job DieselRam!

Thanks! My wife used to get embarrassed when I would talk someone down on something. Now she does it herself! Lol, it is a thrill for sure!

I have listed 10 items this month!
All best offer, And some people buy....with out making an offer?
Some people offer less then half!
So I was told that if you sell more then 200 items....or....total sales exceed 20,000 bucks, IRS sends you a 1099.
How do you guys handle this?

This has been a question of mine as well. This is the first year I have sold this much. Although I have had this account since 2005. I believe you have to file a schedule c to correctly file your taxes. But I really think most people who do not receive a 1099 just don't bother to claim it. Personally, I would claim it...

For PayPal to issue a 1099 you must have more than 200 sales AND have more than $20,000 in sales as well. I don't think most sellers fall into this...

To file the taxes, they would have to know how much profit you are making. How do they know that you aren't losing money on the items you are selling? But yeah, I'm not going to worry about that because I don't think there is any way that I'll make that cut.

All they can do is report your total amount received and it would be on the individual to show expenses (cost, shipping, supplies, mileage, etc).

As of the 15th, I have 15 sales and two items with bids.

I have mostly shirts and hats listed, with some misc items.
From the last two weeks of yard sales and flea markets, I finally have a bunch ofnon-clothing items to list. I like selling those way more, but have an easier time finding clothes.

Took lots of pictures last night-- time to list tonight!

Listed 17 so far today. Hopefully will do more. I finally broke 100, I am running 105 right now! Hopefully these will start getting bids. I have the lure that was in the lot that had to be returned saved in my drafts. I will probably put it on about 6 or 7 o'clock to hopefully increase the bidding when it goes off.

Hope you have better luck this time on the lure. Post a link so we can hit the watch button.

I did 16 more today including that lure. That is everything off of my lists. I can always do more if I need to. Hopefully some bids will come. I'll put up a link later, or you can look up black yellow bird heddon chugger and it should pop up. I was very clear on the repainted part.

Let's see how it does. I just hit the watch button

Okay good. Hopefully it will go good.

Listed 1 item. 19 sales in July, need to pick up the pace to keep it going. Littlest pet shop and video games are on fire! Jewelry is a little slow. HH

Had a good night for shirts... Two sold for $20 shipped, another with a bid ending tonight just under $20.
Looks like after shipping and fees and costs, I will make $37 profit on the three shirts.

So now as of the 16th, I have 18 sales and two items with bids... so 20.

Only listed 3 items last night. One is a Disney mug that is apparently rare. Hard to find examples and the ones I did were $20 and all sold out. Only one on eBay had sold for $39 w/shipping included. Picked for $1.

Looks like July will be better for me than June

Nice! Are those used shirts? If so are they a special brand or what?
