Ebay Listing Accountability Thread

Yeah, sometimes just clearing stuff out is worth more than a potential profit

Yeah, that is true. I'm just glad I didn't list it at 99 cents or something and just get one bidder.

Yeah that would have been awful. I sure need to list a bunch of stuff to clear out some room myself.

After I think seven days my buyer just paid! Lol! I'll ship out on Friday as I will likely be working about half the night tonight so I'm going to bed. I had totally given up on that buyer

Glad he paid for you. I need more listings. You would think they would do more promotions than just auctions before Christmas.

good news for the slow payer

Alright guys, the guy that sends the messages with all of the question marks is back. This time he sent this.
HELLO? I PURCHASED THIS LURE OVER A MONTH AGO? I HAVE IT IN MY POSSESSION? PLEASE CANCEL THIS ERROR AGAIN AND AGAIN??? THANK YOU< MR _________ RESPOND IN A QUICK ANSWER OR FIX THE PROBLEM TODAY? NOW PLEASE ???????

I have no idea what the guy is talking about. Any clues?

Okay guys, I think I have figured it out. Check out his profile, feedback, etc. Here is the link.

eBay Feedback Profile for sore-crai

If he is no longer registered though, why am I still getting messages? This is really strange.

I'm not sure how your getting messages from someone who is no longer registered, but it's obvious he has no grasp of punctuation and or he has a side issue going on. Maybe he has a mental disability, senile, or foreign and has not learned English very well? I would just ignore him as he should have no coarse of action through eBay.

Great - sold my 1st items on FBA

I found these for 3€ each

sold for 21€

I think amazon is taking about 7€/8€ per item

... see how today goes (got another 15kg box ready to ship)

I was watching videos for a guy called RB3 who quit his 6 figure corporate job to sell FBA
here's a screen shot from one of his videos
mind you his margins are a bit low ... but that is his politic .. low margins but high turn over

he's selling on both Amazon and ebay now

this is what he did last month

I don't know how I was getting messages from him either. What was the deal with his write up about how he was craig for craigs list? That was strange. What does that guy sell mickael?

That id impressive Mickael! I am curious as well what he sells. He Shute does better on Amazon!
Bassmaster, I think your buyer has done way to many drugs back in the sixties! Lol! I don't think it's possible to understand what that guy means at all.

in the guys videos he's open about what he's selling
he's basically doing what they call retail arbitrage

he's finding stuff at what is called "Big Box" stores and buying off the shelves and reselling on amazon
he's scanning the stuff on the shelves with "ScanPower" $40 per mo <= damn!
I use Profit-Bandit <= $9 per mo

you can see in the images I posted earlier showing Profit-Bandit
checking the Sales Rank and other variables such as checking on "CamelCamelCamel"
to see if it's a valid purchase
it all takes about 10 sec

there are two schools of thought
1 - high margins .. thrift shops sell on Amazon - if in great or new condition - buy for $1 sell for $10+ - long turn over times could take 6 mo. to sell
2 - low margins .. buy off the shelf sell on Amazon - always new - buy for ex: $10 sell for $25 - fast turnover - you need deeper pockets

Set a new monthly record in Dec and still have 8 days left! Listed a lot of stuff in the free listing promo.
The no more free relistings kinda sucks and now From over 200 listings, I am down to about 100 until I can relist them in the next promo. I even paid 30 cents for a bunch in an effort to get to my yearly goal. I won't pay 30 cents for lots of the items sitting in unsold though...

That is exactly my problem Justin. I have 25 listed right now and a ton in unsold. You would think eBay would give a lot of free listings in order to get the final value fees. My final value fees are way above 30 cents.

it seems to me ebay has gotten into the habit of stepping over dollars to pick up dimes. kinda sad really. but unfortunately its the way it is, i've not had much luck with other venues. (not on amazon..yet)

so after 3 days of going live on Amazon FBA
this is what it looks like so far

btw I though Amazon's tracking was off but I just discovered I'm selling on - amazon de es it uk fr

UPDATE:

ok all 22 Wii's sold in 4 days ..
I paid 66€ / $80.75
and my profit after all said and done is about
420€ / $513

that's the good news the other news is I have about 100 items that haven't sold at all
so the lesson here is to try to sell items that will turn over quickly - low sales rank

the other crap will probably sell but will take months

A few months ago, I looked into FBA and sourcing. I have a handful of items for it, but not enough to investigate further.
Seems like one can do real well with it though!

I experimented with fba back in October. I spent about $200 on clearance merchandise, shipped it all off to Amazon, and then watched and waited. I ended up, after all the fees and shipping, with $600+. So a $400 profit that took me maybe 5 hours total work to get. I then got really busy at work, but I intend to spend a lot more time with Amazon this coming year.
