My sales dropped off over 50% 6 months to a year ago, tried sales with increased discounts, nothing worked.
I mostly deal with vintage & antique items.

Until I set up my promoted listings about 3 months ago.
You set a percentage in addition to E-bay's 10% usually amounting to another 4 to 9%.
I set all my listings at a couple tenths better than they recommend. (average percentage rate each item)
Sales are back to what they were a year ago.

If you don't play their game, your item is shown much less, if at all.
Just a way for Ebay to take a larger bite out of it's sellers without calling it an increase in it's "Final Value Fees".

Ebay's been pulling stunts like that for over 15 years. I won't
even sell on there anymore.

Just try and stop the promotion. They even have a button CANCEL button. No matter how many times I hit cancel it is still promoted. What I do is delete the auction and relist.
