Two Saturdays on 500 acres and no old silver but I did find half of an a 17th century spectacle buckle. I had a great time and the homeowner was incredibly friendly. Sadly, on the second Saturday, the homeowners family dog had passed...RIP Trapper. Thanks for looking.

I'd be tickled to death with a haul like that one. Nice job! :hello2:

Man, with finds like that there has to be a few coins. Great hunt. Love the old buttons. :headbang:
I'd be hitting that place over & over.
Good luck,

Those are some really interesting finds Joey! :notworthy:
This piece is my favourite . . . any idea what it might be?
Horse furniture maybe? :icon_scratch:

I don't know what it is. I think it's pewter and it has some markings on it, a crown and vr (victoria regina). If you have any ideas, let me know.

Re: Typical Victorian era farm finds

Looks like a decent hunt to me

Congrats & HH

The reason I hunted this field is because the back part of it was occupied from around 1650 - 1780's. There are remains of an old brick tobacco warehouse and a navigable creek. I wasn't able to get back there due to hunters running their dogs but I got as close as possible and found that buckle piece.

Yes, it's half of a spectacle buckle.

Any 17th century find in America is a sweet one :icon_thumleft:

Nice buckle!! Congrats!

That's a nice pile of targets Joey. And of course my favorite is the buckle piece. Got to be some more early finds to be made at that site. Good luck!!
