effigy pipe, possible counterfeit

I picked this pipe up at a garage sale in central Alabama. The seller did not know anything about the pipe. Could anyone give me information about it? I got the pipe cheap and I wonder if it was made in the garage I bought it from. I've included a pic of some points I got from the same location in case any of them stick out as obviously fake.

I neglected to mention that this item is also listed under the thread "Pipe found at garage sale, is it fake?" in the "What is it" section. I apologize about not mentioning this initially. This is my first day on treasure.net and I'm feeling quite newbish.
