Hello All,

I am new to the site. I am in the Army and was recently assigned to Fort Knox, KY. I have hunted for Artifacts for many years. Mostly in GA and TX. Is anyone close to Fort Knox that would be willing to show a collector around. I also have a metal detector, but haven't had much luck finding anything with but nails and pop tops with it.

I second the idea of checking out the local maps. Find the creeks and streams and look for plowed fields and start knocking on doors. I personally would head up toward the Ohio River. I would start with Meade and Breckinridge County because they arent that far away from you and on their north borders are the Ohio River. Ive only hunted along the Ohio twice in my life and both times I found really cool stuff I wouldnt normally find in the center of the state.
