Elmira (hellmira) Civil War Prison Camp Finds

[fbjr]

Here are some finds my father and I found this year in the area of the Elmira civil war prison camp. He found both bullets and I found both buttons and the penny. My father also found 2 buttons that are not here in this photo, 2 union buttons. We have been over this area at least 100 times over the past 4 years or so with about 6 different metal detectors and different coils and this is the 1st year that really produced for us. I'm glad we were both able to get out there and have a little success together. He got me into this hobby and I'm never going to stop now lol I'm learning that some of the best finds are coming from iffy signals !! Thanks for looking !

That's cool you found a button from a captured Confederate POW.
