Yeah,our goalkeeper needs to make a "cheer the troops up" visit.I'm sure they'll be very understanding!

Unlucky Denmark!..I was out detecting the beach and some kids had a radio listening to it.They suddenly started screaming and dancing..thought Denmark had scored.

Soccer is becoming more and more popular here in the USA every year. It stems from us becoming more and more liberal every year. All of the parents that have children with no athletic ability whatsoever like soccer because it doesn't require a lot of skill to run up and down a field kicking something. Heck, little girls learn how to kick before they walk. Their kids all get to play regardless of their athletic prowess because their inabilities don't show up as well as striking out in baseball, fumbling in football, missing the basket in basketball or getting knocked out in the first round while boxing. If polo is the sport of kings, then soccer must be the sport of queens.

Isn't "football" just rugby, but for girls?

I wouldn't want my daughters playing rugby without padding and helmets either.

Gotta agree there. I've always thought rugby to be the roughest team sport around. Our football players get paid too much to let them get hurt very badly.

pads got bigger year after year. Then you couldn't rough up the quarterback anymore. Pretty soon it will just be virtual reality football and they'll play it like a video game where no one gets hurt.
