Well, the 1/4 rupee is 0.500 silver. Still haven't found anything on the shillings.

Yep, both your Florin (2 shillings) and Shilling coin are copper-nickel. British silver coins are 50% silver from 1920-1946 and sterling prior to 1920. Starting in 1947 silver was replaced by copper nickel in all circulating issues.
