Headed out for a normal day of hunting and headed to a new site we’d never been to before. Not having too high of expectations we started the field, within minutes started hitting buttons we knew we were in for a great day.

By the end of the day I ended up with 11 buttons in total. One being an 1800’s militia button. My oldest silver was a first year Barber dime, an 1888 IHP and top it off with two pieces of 1800’s jewelry.

Confirmed the button to be a 1825 Militia Button made by Armitage Philadelphia.

Excellent digs my friend!!!!
I really like that blue piece of jewelry… great buttons too!
Thanks Brother. I need to test it because I think it's gold.

Wow! I bet this isn't your last hunt on that site. Please let us know what other goodies you turn up.
Will do, most likely going back next weekend for sure.

Congratulations on the great finds!
