Got off work had a couple hours of day light on Thursday. decided go look for my Great Dane duke’s collar he lost on our last hunt. brought my equinox 800 with me for the hell of it. within feet of turning it on first hit bronze spike by a tree stump. freaked out for a min haha then looked around it to find more stuff. just some crappy tiny iron square nails came outa the ground.

walked to where I thought his collar may be, and found his collar! stoked “now my wife won’t kill me” at that spot I found a old tiny button last night. first sound I look down good signal 20-21 I dig it was a damn can. A old one though! Haha go about 5 feet almost same signal but sounds more solid decided what the hell I’ll dig it. Pull up a large cent stoked on my first one i search hard around it and then got a odd piece of a buckle? With two fish heads on it unknown metal type but came out of the ground pretty clean compared to the one cent maybe silver. starting to get dark I walk to my Jeep listening to signals as I walk back through the area where i found the bronze spike. hit a lot of similar signals but didn’t have my head lamp with me or my pistol “areas known for coyotes” I head home

Hit up my buddy Howard the next day telling him change of plans. We were going to take the boat out to a island and get some footage with my drone for his tour business’s website. We both decided to go back out where I found my large cent. Stoked on our new spot we set the nox’s To field 2 even though we are right beside a old stream that turned into a marsh. not even 1 minuet in to swinging he nails a flat button, then another, then another. I finally nail a musket ball. next signal I hit a unfired field round maybe .50 cal then a button top it off with a King George! We both covered a 50 foot area together nailing allll kinda relics. I even found a crystal arrow head in one of my holes that just had large iron trash in it! Long story short this day was one for the books!!!

Thanks! How’s the hunting up there?
Haven’t been out since Christmas. Ground is frozen. Just waiting for one warm day and I’ll be back at it. Thanks and take care.
