Should I update equinox or is it better than the factory settings if I update, can I revert

I updated my 600, really cut down on the chattery noise. I couldn't tell you it did much more, I couldn't tell you it didn't.

Yes, you can revert to 1.5.0

Actually, it doesn't really tell you that.....On the device anyhow. But I've never really looked to be honest.

When I start the update tool, It checks the detector and tells me I'm up to date with 1.7.5, and thru the menu I can install 1.5.0.

Sorry if that isn't very clear.

Using only the detector, unplugged from anything. I cannot find the software version.

If I plug it into the PC, and run the update tool, It tells me the current version installed on the detector 1.7.5, it tells me that version 1.7.5 is up to date, and it gives me the option to install a previous version 1.5.0

I hope that try makes gooder sense.
