Out playing my my new (used) XLT...first hole I dug was a bottle cap, 2nd hole was a 1935 Washington Quarter, 3rd hole was a beautiful 10K gold class ring from Aquinas College dated 1929! Didn't find squat after that...not that I'm complaining. Don't think I'll be finding the owner of this one, considering they're probably 100 years old now.

Not to be out done, hunting partner grabbed a 1937 Walker too...amazing considering it was in a park that should have been obviously hunted out. Maybe it was TOO obvious, everyone just assumed the place was hunted out?

Nice finds,

That ring is a real keeper. All my gold rings are old one's. That one looks heavy. I agree the owner is very old by now.
