Well, my first vacation of the year starts tomorrow when I head for the Jersey Shore for a week...but....after I packed the Etrac, the pro-pointer and the Grey Ghosts away for the trip I decided to go detecting. Went back to the Evil Park (as Jeff calls it) and had some luck as I have the last few trips here. Had to go to the bench and use some backup equipment, so off I go with the Fisher F75LTD, the Merlin pinpointer and a new pair of Calrad phones. This is the first time in three months I touched the LTD and I had a little "re-learning" to do when I turned her on. But as she has done in the past, she came through with some keepers.

In addition to only .25 cents in clad, I was lucky enough to hit a nice 1938 Mercury dime and a 1902 Indian Cent. Not a bad hunt with the backups for the 1½ hours I was there!

Nice finds!

Good luck at the beach.

Your F-75 is a backup? LOL

Thanks guys!

Jeff, the place was an empty. If there was something there yesterday it was over by 3:00 when I got there.

Coilfisher....yeah, bought the F75 LTD January of 2010 and absolutely loved it, but I discovered there were sites that the machine was being minimized by the mineralization. I hunt with Jeff of PA alot and there were spots that just would not allow me to come close to keeping up with him in number of finds. I finally noticed the pattern, every time we hit a site with high mineralization he kicked my butt. So, I went to the Etrac because I think there really is something to that FBS technology that overcomes the "hot" spots!
