Hi all,

I found this tag in a corn field near a 1700's house here in NH. Any ideas??? It sounded off just like a large copper so I am guessing copper alloy for the material. I'm stumped thanks for your help.

Dang it, being 15 minutes from Exeter NH I was hoping I could help... but alas, I can't. :-[
It looks like it had attachments like a puppy-dog tag, but that's a pretty low number (that with no date, I don't think that's right). :icon_scratch:

Maybe an early room check to this hotel. Built in 1932 though. :icon_scratch: http://theexeterinn-px.trvlclick.com/index.cfm

Still could be a room check from an earlier hotel. It would take a little digging into the town's history to figure it out.

When I saw it in "Today's Finds," that was the first thing that came to mind.

Hmm... room check for a hotel. I will do some research on that. NHBenz I live about 20 minutes from Exeter too. Funny how neither one of us would know what this is??? It looks like it had a square loop on the top as if it was attached to a strap or something thin. Thanks for all your replies. If I figure out what it is I will update my post.

I also noticed the two little "ears" at the top that looks like a strap loop or something similar was attached. Maybe a room key fob? Monty
